Activity: How to Make Hanging Paper Hearts For Mobile

How to Make Paper Heart Hanging for Mobile Activity
MATERIALS YOU NEED
  • Construction paper or cardstock in a variety of colors
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • String or yarn

Steps to Make Hanging Paper Hearts For Mobile Showcasing

STEPS
  • Start by cutting out an assortment of hearts from your paper. Make them all different sizes and colors. You can even cut the inside of your hearts out to make heart frames for your mobile. (We have a die-cut machine I used to make most of our hearts, but it’s not necessary.)
  • Now the fun part! Place a long string on a flat surface. Place your hearts along the string. We varied the sizes and colors of the hearts to give each mobile a unique look. And it’s really fun to put hearts inside the heart frames- they spin around when they’re hanging up!
  • Tape each heart in place onto your string
  • Hang your mobile up and enjoy!

Recipe : To Make Valentines Day Snacks

Recipe to make Valentines Day Snacks
INGREDIENTS
  • Strawberries-Use a knife to cut a small V in the top to make them look like hearts.
  • Blueberries
  • White cheese of your choice-We used mozzarella and cut it into small triangles to make arrowheads.
  • Skewers or valentine’s picks OR arrow pick.

Steps to Make Valentines Day Snacks

STEPS
  • Make one arrow snack as placing as blueberry first, heart-shaped strawberry in the middle, and another blueberry at the end of the arrow pick. Set it out on a plate next to the ingredients when the kids arrived home from school. Then they created their patterns with the ingredients.

  • Placing the items on the picks is a great fine motor practice, so you’re getting a healthy snack and a little small motor muscle building in one.
