Activity: Supplies Needed to Make Tissue Paper Suncatchers |
|
- Tissue paper
- Mod Podge and Brush
- Wax Paper
- Popsicle Sticks (Optional) and String
- Scissors
|
|
- Cut out Tissue paper in small pieces, any shape is fine.
- Take a piece of Wax paper and start applying a thin layer of mod podge onto the wax paper. Use a foam brush to apply mod podge.
- Now add pieces of Tissue paper on top of it. Its time to get creative.
- Keep adding pieces so that there are a few gaps as possible.
- Apply another layer of mod podge over the pieces.
- Let your project dry for some time. Once it dries, cut out in the shape you want to make
- We also used confetti to make our suncatcher.
- We made a frame around our suncatcher with popsicle sticks, by simply gluing them onto the wax paper.
- Then, add some string or yarn whatever available at home for hanging your beautiful suncatcher.

Activity: How to Make Rainbow Grapes |
|
- 1 pound grapes, removed from the vine
- 1 box JELLO flavored gelatin in each color of the rainbow
|
- 1 pound grapes, removed from the vine
- 1 box JELLO flavored gelatin in each color of the rainbow
|
|
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and set aside.
- Place freshly-washed grapes (removed from the vine) into a large bowl of water. Make sure they are completely soaked and covered by the water.
- Pour the contents of each JELLO gelatin pack into separate bowls for each flavor.
- Remove one grape from the water bowl at a time using a toothpick. Immediately roll the
- grape in the gelatin mixture of your choosing – making sure to completely cover all surface area. If any grape is showing through, simply dab that area into the water and place it back in the gelatin mixture to ensure it is completely coated.
- Lay the coated grapes on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet. After all grapes have been coated and placed on the baking sheet, move it to the refrigerator for up to an hour. Remove the toothpicks and place in a serving bowl or on a serving tray.
Recipe Notes
- Once the grapes are chilled, the coating hardens and becomes a candy shell.
- Make sure to allow grapes to completely chill before transferring them to a serving container where they’ll be touching; otherwise, the color will rub off and blend with the other grapes.
- A little of the mixture goes a long way. I would recommend a thin layer of the coating as the flavor is quite concentrated.
